Da Lat 2 Day Itinerary: A Romantic Vietnam Escape

Having this article in your hands means that your next trip to Da Lat will be more auspicious; do not waste your youthful days on not visiting this beautiful land for once; it would make your Vietnam tours memorable.

Try waking up and leaving Saigon when it is still early in the morning; given the 320 kilometers in distance, it would take you six hours.

Preparation For The Trip To Da Lat

If you are confident and healthy, visit Da Lat by bike; it would be more fun and convenient when it comes to moving around the destinations. Going with a group of friends should be best because it would make your group of friends safer. Or else you can contact any Vietnamese tour agency for further consultation.

To save the gasoline money, it is recommended to share a bike with another friend so that you can take turns carrying the other.

Check Your Bike Carefully Before The Trip To Da Lat

If you have never driven far away from where you are, just drive slowly; it would take you 8 hours. Take a break every 100 kilometers because the scenery along the way is worthwhile too.

Also, check the oil and tires to make sure it is enough for a trip to Da Lat.

It is said that there exist people who do not care about anything on the way to Da Lat too; just ignore them and mind your own business.

Backpacking Preparation For Da Lat

A light bag filled with water bottles and clothes, or even a camera, is enough. You will have a lot of photos to show off later.

The Two-day Trip To Da Lat

From Saigon to the Dau Giay T-junction at 7AM is pretty good. From the Thu Duc intersection to Dau Giay is 50 kilometers in distance. From Maxi Mark 3/2 to Thu Duc is 18 kilometers. Do not go on weekends because it will be so crowded.

From Saigon to Bao Loc on fast speed, it would take you 4 to 5 hours. In here, you will see strawberry fields spreading to the horizon. Nowhere in this country has more strawberries than this town, I am sure.

Bao Loc in the early morning is just peaceful. Two more hours and you will see Da Lat, no rush. Find yourself somewhere to eat and to take a break.

And oh, if you don't stop by the Prenn pass, it would be a huge loss.

Exploring Da Lat With Your Friends

Regarding where to stay, it would be best if you chose the Homestay or hostels in Da Lat. At the end of the day, the trend is always experiencing the homestay, isn't it?

Not only will you have a place to stay but also a place to take fabulous photos.

Some of the homestays and hostels:

* La Nha Homestay, 77 Hoang Dieu, Ward 5th, Da Lat city. Dorm room: 170,000 VND/bed

* Tre's House, 419 A Vo Truong Toan Da Lat. 150,000 VND/person

* Da Lat note hostel. 3/2 Thong Thien Hoc. Da Lat city. 80,000 VND/person

* Beepub Da Lat hostel. 74 Truong Cong Dinh. 95,000 VND/person

Do make a call to book a room beforehand.

First Day In Da Lat

Leaving Saigon at 5AM, you will arrive in Da Lat at 2PM.

When in Da Lat, check in and take a break. Take a shower and at 4PM take your bike to visit Da Lat.

Given that Da Lat has chilly weather, among the Vietnamese food available here, BBQ is the best for you at this time. Check out Cu Duc BBQ at 6A Nguyen Luong Bang, Da Lat.

The prices are quite more expensive than other restaurants, but the quality is over-the-top. Just 100,000-150,000 VND is enough.

After having BBQ, go visit Nguyen Van Troi street to have some grilled rice papers. Check out 61 and 53 Nguyen Van Troi. This is one of the best Vietnamese street foods.

A cup of soy milk is also recommendable. Check out Hoa Sua at 64 Tang Bat Ho.

After having dinner, visit Da Lat market, park your bike there and take a look at everything. Sweaters are always on sale.

If you still have time, rent a two-person bike to ride around the Xuan Huong Lake.

Second Day In Da Lat

Get up early to see how beautiful the dawn in Da Lat is.

Banh Mi Xiu Mai is an awesome choice for your breakfast. Check out 26 Hoang Dieu.

After having breakfast, just visit as many places as possible in Da Lat to take photos of everything.

Firstly, you can visit Lam Vien square, one of the top destinations of Da Lat.

The morning in Xuan Huong Lake is very beautiful; do not forget to visit that.

The next place is the City Garden, located to the east of Xuan Huong Lake. Tickets cost 30,000 VND each.

Then you can visit the Valley of Love for 40,000 VND each.

Feel free to visit other places such as Da Lat Gas Station and Da Lat College of pedagogy to take photos.

And your trip to Da Lat ends here.
