3 Days in Sapa & Fansipan Summit

Upon our arrival in Sapa, we were immediately charmed by the unique atmosphere of this little town perched among the clouds — the fresh air, the colorful markets, and the traditional costumes of the H’Mong and Dzao people. A true escape from everyday life.

We spent our first day visiting Cat Cat Village and enjoying an easy hike through the terraced rice fields — the perfect warm-up!

The second day was the highlight: the ascent of Mount Fansipan. Thanks to the ultra-modern cable car, we reached the 3,143-meter summit effortlessly, ideal for our small group (we’re not big hikers). The cable car ride itself was an experience: breathtaking views of the Muong Hoa Valley, waterfalls, and pine forests.

At the top, we climbed the final steps to the giant statue and the national flag. We were lucky to have clear skies that morning — an awe-inspiring panorama of endless karst peaks and a sea of clouds. A moment we’ll never forget.

To end our trip beautifully, the third day was all about relaxation — strolling through Sapa Market, tasting local specialties like Sapa salmon, and shopping for souvenirs such as embroidered scarves and local tea.

Our heartfelt thanks to the team for the perfect organization: everything ran smoothly, the cable car transfer was well-timed, and our guide was attentive and full of good advice to make the most of our visit.

— Colette BONTE and her travel companions, delighted with this unforgettable escape to the Roof of Vietnam!
