Excursions from Saigon or Ho Chi Minh

Discover the Energy of Southern Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon — “the fearless” — is Vietnam’s economic heart and one of the most vibrant cities in Asia. Home to over eight million residents, it’s a metropolis that never sleeps, where the constant hum of motorbikes creates a rhythm unique to the city.

While Saigon races toward modernity with its ever-growing skyline and global outlook, it still preserves remarkable traces of its colonial past. The Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Opera House, and the Central Post Office are just a few of the many architectural gems from the French era. The city also offers spiritual serenity through its many pagodas and temples, reflecting the deep-rooted faith of the Vietnamese people.

Don’t miss a visit to the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, or the bustling Chinatown district to explore the diversity and vitality that define Saigon. Here, modern cafés stand alongside traditional markets, and skyscrapers overlook riverside neighborhoods full of character.

Experience Saigon’s distinct blend of tradition and modernity through our excursions — the perfect way to feel the pulse of this ever-evolving city while discovering the authentic soul of Vietnam.

When to Visit Vietnam?

The ideal time to visit Vietnam depends on the region you plan to explore, as the country spans a wide range of climates.

  • In the North, each of the four seasons reveals a different charm: mild spring and autumn, perfect for Hanoi and the northern mountains; hot, humid summers that bring the rice fields to life; and cool, misty winters that cloak the landscapes in a mysterious beauty.

  • In Central Vietnam, sunshine prevails most of the year, though from September to November, occasional typhoons and heavy rains give destinations like Hué and Hoi An a unique, dramatic allure.

  • In the South, the climate is divided into two main seasons: the rainy season (May to October) and the dry season (November to April), both offering warm, pleasant temperatures year-round.
