An Bang Beach

An Bang Beach, nestled in Cam An Ward of Hoi An City, has proudly secured a spot in Asia's top 10 beaches for 2024 according to Tripadvisor. Celebrated in the Traveller's Choice Awards 2024, this accolade comes from the voices of travelers worldwide.

Ranking 5th with over 7,000 glowing reviews, An Bang is cherished for its azure skies, powdery white sands, and breathtaking coastal vistas. The best time to visit An Bang Beach is from March to September, when it’s warm and inviting. Thrill-seekers will enjoy parasailing, jet skiing, and surfing, while those seeking tranquility can relax under thatched umbrellas or cycle through charming nearby routes.

Cua Dai Beach

Cua Dai Beach has long been considered one of the top 7 best beaches in Hoi An to Danang. Located in Cam An Ward, about 5 km from the ancient town center and 30 km from Da Nang, it is a gateway for three significant rivers in Quang Nam: De Vong, Thu Bon, and Truong Giang.

Cua Dai's allure lies in its pristine white sands, lush coconut groves, and clear blue waters, all bathed in golden sunlight. This coastal area also boasts numerous luxury hotels and resorts offering diverse recreational activities, making it a renowned destination for relaxation and tourism.

Cua Dai is probably the most enchanting in the morning under the soft sunlight or in the evening during sunset. These moments allow you to bask in gentle sunlight, enjoy the serene landscape, and feel the refreshing sea breeze, providing an indescribable sense of peace and relaxation.

Ha My Beach

About 7 km from Hoi An and over 20 km from Da Nang's city center, Ha My Beach possesses fine white sands and clear emerald waters, typical of beaches of the central region.

The dry season, from March to August, is the ideal time for beach activities. The best times of the day to visit are early morning (4-7 AM) and late afternoon (3-6 PM).

Although less famous than An Bang or Cua Dai, Ha My offers unique experiences like overnight camping. Imagine gathering with friends, lighting a bonfire, enjoying a BBQ, and singing under the night sky. Tent rentals in Da Nang and Hoi An cost around 200,000-250,000 VND for a two-person tent.

Hidden Beach

While exploring the Ancient Town is essential, summer visitors should rent a bike and head to the beach. The main beaches, Cua Dai and An Bang, are popular but have drawbacks. Cua Dai suffers from erosion, and An Bang is often crowded with vendors and tourists.

Instead, consider Hidden Beach in Hoi An, a serene spot between the two main beaches. At Hidden Beach, you can park your bike and use the lounge chairs for free. It's a small beach with only a few restaurants and shops. This beach offers a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the bustling An Bang. Visit around 6 AM to see fishermen returning in their basket boats—a true local scene.

Hidden Beach is located between Cua Dai and An Bang along Lac Long Quan. Look for a sign that says “Hidden Beach,” and follow the road to the end for a peaceful retreat.

Binh Minh Beach

Located south of Hoi An, Binh Minh, which means “sunrise,” lives up to its name with its breathtaking scenery. Its pristine white sands and clear blue waters gleam brilliantly, especially in the early hours of the day. Extending for more than three kilometers, Binh Minh is a sight to behold.

Binh Minh Beach is definitely a lesser-known beach compared to An Bang or Cua Dai, so usually it can seem a bit quaint; you’ll only see a few locals having a swim or fishing boats if you’re visiting early in the morning. There are only a handful of bungalows near the shore and some makeshift restaurants. But that’s the beauty of Binh Minh—its simplicity. Make sure to try their signature squid, called “rice squid” (mực cơm), which is only a bit larger than a finger.

My Khe Beach

My Khe Beach also made it on TripAdvisor’s list of beaches in Asia, ranking 6th with over 2,600 reviews. Located approximately 2 km from the city center, My Khe spans about 900m in length, with smooth white sands, coconut trees, gentle waves, and warm water year-round.

You can enjoy beach activities almost all year round, but the most suitable time is from April to September, particularly during the summer.

My Khe Beach also offers a range of amenities, including hotels, restaurants, parking, freshwater showers, umbrellas, and lounge chairs. Additionally, there are various thrilling water sports activities such as windsurfing, surfing, jet skiing, kayaking, and scuba diving. Adventurous activities like parasailing at a height of 50m to admire the entire coastline are also available.

Here, you can catch the sunrise, watch fishermen hauling in their nets full of fish, or indulge in the special seafood dishes and experience peace and relaxation.

Non Nuoc Beach

Non Nuoc Beach in Da Nang was once acclaimed by Forbes, a top American magazine, as one of the six most stunning beaches globally back in 2005. Situated approximately 8 km southeast of downtown Da Nang, it continues to exude its natural allure despite being developed for tourism over the years. With its 5 km stretch, Non Nuoc resembles a gentle, winding ribbon nestled at the base of the Marble Mountains.

Beyond the usual swimming and sunbathing, visitors can engage in a plethora of thrilling activities such as surfing, beach volleyball, parasailing, paragliding, and jet skiing. For those seeking a more laid-back experience, fishing is a delightful option. Picture yourself perched on a rock, casting your line while enjoying a can of beer—a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. If you prefer something cultural, visit the Non Nuoc stone carving village, nestled at the foot of the Marble Mountains, a treasure trove of traditional culture and craftsmanship.
