How to Find Cheap Flights to Vietnam from UK & Europe

The price of the plane ticket usually takes one quarter to one half of the budget for travel to Vietnam and Indochina. This is a detail not to be overlooked, especially if we decide to prevail on spending in Vietnam on comfort by plane. It should also be taken into account that if you travel by plane between the cities of Indochina (for example, between Hanoi and Danang or between Ho Chi Minh City and Phnom Penh), the cost of the transfer trip will be higher. So many reasonspush you to find interesting prices to suit a reduced budget.

The first thing to know, and not least, is that direct flights, regardless of the airline, are more expensive than flights with stops. We must choose flights that have a stopover in the Middle East for example, such as Dubai. This UAE city is a real hub of flights between Europe and Asia; its airport is sublime and well equipped, which gives you the right conditions to wait for your next flight.

If we continue with our example of Dubai, we must know that we can choose the flights between Europe and Dubai and then between Dubai and Southeast Asia. Search engines and price comparators must be consulted to find bargains. For example, you can initially choose a flight from Qatar Airlines and then take another flight from Singapore Airlines. There are many possible combinations and Dubai, Qatar Airlines and Singapore Airlines are just a sample.

Also take advantage of promotions that airlines launch during advertising campaigns: we can sometimes find real pearls with Lufthansa or Air France. Be careful, however, to avoid holidays or holiday periods. You should know that Vietnam and France have almost the same days off; this is whether you take a flight with Vietnam Airlines. We also consider weekend days are generally more expensive than days worked: the best is to study the whole month and see what day of the week is often the cheapest.

If you have loyalty points, you must, of course, buy airline tickets with your airline to take advantage of these advantages that are sometimes interesting. It would be silly not to use them, especially since sometimes they have a validity date. If you have a bank card without a foreign exchange commission, you can buy the banknotes in any currency, especially the one whose rate is favorable to the euro. It is wise to remember that the sooner you buy your ticket, the lower the price.

In all cases, if you do research on the Internet, especially with search engines and price comparators, you must be in private mode or incognito so as not to feed the cookies that are used by virtual traders:the price tends to increase when you search for the same flight multiple times; search engines have commissions with some airlines and you will put them at the top of the list if you search too much for the same thing. For the latter case, it is necessary to use the search engines only because they tend to inflate the real price and buy on the site of the company directly to have the tickets at the right price.

If you are in Vietnam, for example, it is sometimes smarter to buy domestic flight tickets on the spot. Travel agencies sometimes have perks that can only benefit tourism professionals: it does not cost anything to ask and we can stumble on a promotional ticket. Also ask which local airlines are selling cheap tickets, like Viet Jet Air in Vietnam. This goes with concessions such as luggage not taken into account in the price (you must pay for a package that depends on the weight of the bags), no meals or drinks during the flight, or even very narrow places.

Here are some examples of so-called "low cost" companies that offer cheap flight tickets. This is a good starting point for your investigations. Good luck.

Low-cost companies: AirAsia, Bangkok Airways, China Airlines, Jetstar, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airlines, VietJet Air

Trusted companies (for promotions and loyalty points): Air France, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Vietnam Airlines
