A Local Travel Agency in Vietnam — and My Childhood

“Our logo is a reflection of my memories and the nostalgia of my childhood. I was born in a quiet village in the Red River Delta, surrounded by endless rice fields forming a giant checkerboard of colors, where farmers in conical hats are always smiling and welcoming, and where children, perched on buffaloes, play the flute and run with their kites.

In my native village, typical of the Red River Delta, there are also red-tiled houses surrounded by towering bamboo hedges and lotus-filled ponds with their fragrant blossoms.

The buffalo holds a special place in the heart of Vietnamese farmers. It is their faithful companion, helping with fieldwork such as plowing and weeding, as well as transporting goods and villagers.

Speaking about Vietnam as I know it is deeply meaningful to me. That’s why I want to share the images of my homeland — its landscapes, its people, and its culture. I want to show travelers this humble, simple, yet friendly and authentic Vietnam.”

The bamboo hedges and the child sitting on the buffalo playing the flute are memories from my childhood. I incorporated them into the agency’s logo as a promise — to help travelers discover Vietnam as it truly is, with its traditions, history, and soul.

Formerly a guide for various international travel agencies, Mr. Manh Duc has traveled across Vietnam in every direction. For years, he has drawn inspiration from his homeland — its fascinating cultural and historical heritage, its magnificent landscapes, its divine cuisine, and its incredible mosaic of ethnic groups.

And because passion only truly exists when shared, it was natural for Manh Duc to create Vietnam Original Travel, a local travel agency in Vietnam, to introduce travelers from around the world to his country and to other destinations across Southeast Asia.
