Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang (–) ~ by bus
You take the night bus to Ha Giang and spend the night on an air-conditioned sleeper bus with comfortable berths.
Day 2: Ha Giang – Nam Dam (B.L.D)
Arrival in Ha Giang. You are welcomed and transferred to a hotel where you can take a shower, rest, and have breakfast.
Afterwards, you begin the Ha Giang motorbike loop, riding along the famous Happiness Road through magnificent landscapes: ethnic villages, mountains, cultivated fields, the Heaven Gate, and the Fairy Bosom Mountains. Lunch is served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you continue riding to Nam Dam village. Upon arrival, you check in at a local homestay with a Long-Tunic Dao family, where you will meet your hosts. Later, enjoy a short walk through the village and surrounding fields to meet local residents.
Dinner and overnight at the homestay.
Day 3: Nam Dam – Lung Cu – Dong Van (B.L.D)
After breakfast, depart by motorbike towards Dong Van, riding through the spectacular landscapes of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark.
Visit the Lung Cu Flag Tower, located at the northernmost point of Vietnam near the Chinese border. Lunch at a local restaurant or with a local family.
In the afternoon, continue this beautiful motorbike journey to Dong Van, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel, then enjoy a walking tour of the Dong Van Old Quarter, home to houses over 400 years old and its historic colonial market.
Dinner and overnight in Dong Van.
Day 4: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng – Du Gia (B.L.D)
If you are here on a Sunday, you can visit the Dong Van weekly market, which takes place every Sunday morning.
After breakfast, depart by motorbike towards Du Gia, crossing the Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the most spectacular mountain passes in Northern Vietnam. Stop at the pass to admire breathtaking views of the valleys, the Nho Que River, and surrounding ethnic villages.
Continue the journey to Du Gia, where you check in at a Tay family homestay for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy walks to nearby waterfalls or to Hmong and Tay villages to discover their daily life and traditions.
Dinner and overnight at the homestay.
Day 5: Du Gia – Ha Giang – Hanoi or another destination (B.L)
After breakfast, depart by motorbike back to Ha Giang, riding through picturesque landscapes of terraced rice fields, ethnic villages, and mountains.
Arrival in Ha Giang in the afternoon. After returning the motorbike, you take the bus back to Hanoi (or continue to another destination).
