Day 1: Hanoi - Heaven Gate - Phin Chai

Day 2: Phin Chai - Nam On

Day 3: Nam On - Nam Khoa

Day 4: Nam Khoa - Nam Hong

Day 5: Nam Hong - Hanoi or new destination

Day 1: Hanoi - Sky Gate - Phin Chai

08:00 Hotel pick-up in Hanoi and head out to Ha Giang for treks in the Hoang Su Phi area. Lunch at a local restaurant in Tuyen Quang. Then continue your road trip to Hoang Su Phi. Arrive at Sky Gate of Tan Lap, where you begin a 5 km trek to Phin Chai—the ethnic group of Red Daos. Stay one night with a local family.

Day 2: Phin Chai - Nam On

After breakfast, continue the treks from Phin Chai to Nam On—the Red Daos and have lunch with a local family. Afternoon, continue the treks to Hong Quang—the ethnic groups of Long Tunics Daos. Dinner and overnight at a homestay.

Day 3: Nam On - Nam Khoa

Enjoy breakfast, then trek to Nam Khoa through the fabulous landscapes: mountains, rice terraces, forests and ethnic villages. Nam Khoa village is home to the Nungs. Dinner and overnight with homestay.

Day 4: Nam Khoa - Nam Hong

After having breakfast, say goodbye to the host family and trek in Nam Hong Village, home of the Red Daos. Nam Hong is a community tourism area in Hoang Su Phi. Check in at Hoang Su Phi Lodge and in the evening you can join in a dance show on the fire of the Red Daos or you can attend an embroidery class (at your own cost). Overnight at Hoang Su Phi Lodge.

Day 5: Nam Hong - Hanoi or Other Destination

Breakfast at Hoang Su Phi Lodge. Walk in the villages around Hoang Su Phi Lodge or visit Thong Nguyen Market—the typical market. Thong Nguyen Market is the weekly market that is held every Sunday morning. Return to Hanoi or continue to a new destination.
