Myanmar Visa

Traveling to Myanmar? Most visitors need a visa, available through the eVisa system or on arrival. Check eligibility and documents to ensure a smooth and hassle-free entry.

Myanmar Visa

Like other countries, almost all nationalities entering Burma by air or land are required to obtain a visa. There are some nationalities in South East Asia only do not require visa and the nationalities are granted a stay of maximum 14 days.

Unlike many other countries in South East Asia where allow tourists to apply Visa on arrival. In Myamar, this type is only for Business Visa. Therefore, tourists have to visit the Myanmar Embassies in their countries or apply e-visa.

E-visa

E-visa is now only available to Tourist seeking entry into Myanmar. If you are seeking entry for business, meetings, seminars purposes please apply at a Myanmar embassy in your respective country.

The E-visa is very fast and convenient (3 working days). You do not have to go to Embassies and the Consulates. The entry Visa will be stamped on your passport at your arrival.

Currently, over 100 nationalities are granted this type of Visa. Please check the details on Myanmar Government's official website

 

Requirement documents for e-visa applying

  • Your passport with validity over 6 months.
  • Uploading one color photo (4.8 cm X 3.8 cm) taking during last (3) months.
  • US$50 for online payment (by credit cards)

Others

E-visa only allows tourists to stay less than 28 days from the date of arrival.

Tourists must stay in registered hotels, hostels, guest houses and resorts during stay in Myanmar.

E-Visa is only valid for a single entry. Re-entry will require a new visa.

Tourists applying E-visa are only allowed to enter Myanmar via angon International Airport, Nay Pyi Taw International Aiport and Mandalay International Airport
