Top 10 Best Things to Do in Saigon by Night

Many people may wonder what to do in Saigon by night. Actually, it is not difficult to find the answer because Saigon is very famous for different interesting tourist places to visit and activities to do by night, including Khu Pho Tay Bui Vien (locally known as Foreigner’s street), street food, sky bars and rooftops, and romantic dinner cruises on the Saigon river… off of which are highly recommended and some general information can be found below:

Khu Tay Balo or Backpacker street

Being the most famous streets in Saigon, located in Pham Ngu Lao ward, District 1, the backpacker street spreads over 4 streets, including Bui Vien, De Tham, Pham Ngu Lao and Do Quang Dau. The street was opened in August 2017 and has attracted many citizens in Saigon and visitors.

Before 1975, this area was named the International crossroad which was not listed officially on the map but referred to the area of 4 streets: Bui Vien, De Tham, Do Quang Dau and Pham Ngu Lao.

The backpacker street is open on the weekend from Friday night to Sunday night with many interesting activities, including modern and traditional games and dancing or singing shows that are impressive to visitors, especially foreign travelers. Besides interesting shows, visitors can also find many bars and beer shops with delicious local food.

Rooftop Bars

Rooftop bars are also “must-visit” places when visiting Saigon. From the colonial to modern styles, from traditional to crazy decors, all of which can be found in the bars. It is very striking when sipping a cocktail on the top of a building and enjoying the sunset. Districts 1 and 3 are the best places for such an experience (suggested places: Chill Skybar at District 1 and Des Art at District 3). The best place to enjoy Saigon by night is the rooftop bar on the Bitexco building, which offers you a splendid panoramic view of Saigon.

Romantic Dinner Cruise on Saigon River

If the streets are noisy and busy and out of your taste, you can book a dinner cruise on Saigon river which offers you a wonderful exploration of Saigon by night with magnificently sparkling buildings in the center. The live music is also performed while you enjoy an elegant dinner on a cruise along the Saigon river. Let’s drop a request and get the best advice from our travel agency in Ho Chi Minh.
