Palace On Wheels: Experience The Great Pleasure On-Board

Don’t you think discovering India by train is an experience in itself and moreover if you are planning to explore India with none other than the “Palace on Wheels,” then I assure you this first luxury train of India offers you a unique journey experience that you will cherish forever.

If you are thinking I’m praising this train without going, no, it was actually my personal wonderful experience with Palace on Wheels that I want to share with you. The 7-night and 8 days tour which begins and ends its journey at the Safdarjung railway Station, New Delhi, takes its guests to a number of wonderful places in the golden landscape of Rajasthan, such as Delhi, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur/Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Bharatpur/Agra, but on this journey they get a chance to explore several historical as well as cultural monuments ,forts and palaces like Hawa Mahal, Hill Fort Palace, Pink City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Ranthambore National Park, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and the beautiful Taj Mahal. Not only this, but an elephant ride at the Amer Fort and shopping for cultural performances, ethnic clothes, and jewelry, as well as handicrafts and exotic wildlife, which are famous all around the world, are sure to be experiences that are unforgettable.

Well, the above information is about the destinations ...  and the description will be incomplete if I don’t tell you about how the train looks inside and after knowing its features, I’m sure you love this train.

So let’s start with the 14 guest carriages, which are named after and recall the princely states of Rajasthan and have 4 twin-bedded chambers equipped with LCD televisions, channel music, a table with a chair, an attached bathroom with both hot and cold running showers, central air conditioning, a public address system, a full-fledged library, laundry service, a separate safe and other thoughtful facilities. Despite all this facility, its impressive interior, ethnic Rajasthani decor that recreates the regal splendor of the past and an appointed Khidmatgar, a personal attendant who takes care of all the needs of the guests, enhance the pleasure of traveling.

In addition, the train has a souvenir shop, a state-of-the-art spa, a gymnasium, dining and cuisines (Indian, especially Mewari as well as European cuisines), and a bar and lounge for its guests where everyone can relax and have some fun time.

All in all, I will only say, the train is flawless in all its entire aspects and I’m totally in love with the appealing ambience and journey. I would definitely recommend it to everyone for at least once in a lifetime to discover the grand history or the royal lifestyle of the Raja-Maharajas of the golden state of Rajasthan with one of the best luxurious trains, Palace on Wheels India.”

Palace on Wheels has already started the year (2017-18) cyclical journey, so it is advisable to book your tickets through authorized agents to avoid any problems.
