Short walk to the local food market in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Experience a bowl of “Pho Bo” (noodle with beef) at Pho Bat Dan or Pho Bo Hang Dong, Banh Cuon (steamed rice pancake rolled with minced pork and mushroom), Cha Ca La Vong (the most famous and authentic local food in Hanoi), “bun cha” (Vermicelli with grilled pork) and enjoy some coffee in local café shop

In the morning we will take a short walk to the local food market. It is a typical market, as there are thousands of them around the city that supply food for the regular meals of local people. Then take the walk through the Old Quarter of Hanoi; you can feel the traditional atmosphere of the most attractive part of Hanoi and witness local people enjoying their breakfast on the pavement along the ride. Experience a bowl of “Pho Bo” (noodle with beef) at Pho Bat Dan or Pho Bo Hang Dong (subject to the availability of the restaurant)—famous typical Northern Vietnam Pho. In the local traditional restaurant, you should queue in line, pay, and get your own bowl of Pho. After breakfast, we will continue our walking tour around the Old Quarter. Our guide will introduce to you some of the authentic local food, like Banh Cuon (steamed rice pancake rolled with minced pork and mushroom) and Cha Ca La Vong (the most famous and authentic local food in Hanoi), and we will enjoy some coffee in a local café shop. Then your trip will be followed by having lunch with “bun cha” (vermicelli with grilled pork—another famous Hanoi street food—Bun Cha Dac Kim Duong Thanh).

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to take a cooking class at Anh Tuyet Restaurant and learn how to prepare 3 traditional dishes of Hanoi.

  • You start with a 1-hour market tour to learn about Vietnamese ingredients & how to choose fresh foods. Next is a short talk on the art of Hanoian gastronomy, vegetables, herbs & spices, & how to prepare & use them.
  • The practice includes learning cooking & cutting techniques & how to use a Vietnamese vegetable grater & knife.
  • The menu includes Nem (fried meat rolls), Ca Hap (steamed fish with dill), and Nom (mixed salad).
  • Have dinner at the restaurant.

How to Book Your Trip?

Booking a trip is an essential step that deserves careful thought, organization, and support. The first step is to clearly define your expectations — destination, duration, budget, departure period, and preferred travel style (cultural, seaside, adventure, tailor-made, etc.).
Next, it is recommended to contact a specialized local travel agency, capable of advising you and designing a personalized itinerary adapted to your preferences and pace. Once the program and quotation are validated, the booking is usually confirmed through a written contract and a deposit payment, ensuring the reservation of services (accommodation, transport, activities, guide).
You will then receive a detailed confirmation along with the necessary documents for the smooth running of your trip. A few days before departure, it is strongly advised to review the final schedule, contacts, and travel conditions.
Booking with an experienced professional ensures a worry-free, well-organized journey without unpleasant surprises.
