Day 1: Hanoi - Nam On - Hong Quang

Day 2: Hong Quang - Vinh Quang - Nung Moi

Day 3: Nung Moi - Nam Ai - Le Hong Phong 

Day 4: Le Hong Phong - Tan Xa Phin - Ho Pien

Day 5: Ho Pien - Nam Hong - Hoang Su Phi Lodge

Day 6: Hoang Su Phi Lodge - Hanoi or other destinations

 

Day 1: Hanoi - Nam On - Hong Quang

Check out your hotel in Hanoi and have an early departure for Hoang Su Phi. Arrive in the hamlet of Nam On where you will have lunch at the homestay of ethnic Red Dao. Afterwards, you start trekking through the Son Quang Mountain for 2 hours and then go down to the village of Hong Quang, land of long-tunic Daos people. Check in homestay and overnight in Hong Quang.

Duration of trek ~ 2,5-3h

 

Day 2: Hong Quang - Vinh Quang - Nung Me

After breakfast at homestay, then conquer the Hong Quang Pass to Vinh Quang, the homeland of Red Daos. Enjoy lunch at a local homestay. In the afternoon, continue our treks from Vinh Quang commune to the village of Nung Moi - homeland of Nungs ethnic groups through the fabulous amphitheaters of terraced rice fields, mountains and forests. Check in homestay of the Nungs.

Day 3: Nung Me - Nam Ai - Le Hong Phong

Enjoy breakfast at homestay, later continue treks from the village of Nung Moi to Le Hong Phong via Nam Ai where you will meet long-tunic Daos and stop here for lunch. In the afternoon, trek through the fabulous rice terraces to Le Hong Phong. Upon arrival, check in homestay of Tay people and overnight in Le Hong Phong.

Duration of trek ~ 5-6h

 

Day 4: Hong Phong - Tan Xa Phin - Ho Pien

After breakfast, start your trek from Le Hong Phong to Tan Xa Phin through breathtaking scenery including rice terraces, mountains, valleys, ethnic villages and forests ... Tan Xa Phin is the land of the Red Daos. Stop at Tan Xa Phin to have lunch before continuing trekking to the village of Ho Pien - village of H'mongs group. Check in homestay and overnight in Ho Pien.

Day 5: Ho Pien - Nam Nghi - Nam Hong

Breakfast at homestay, then today you continue the treks from the village of Ho Pien to the village of Nam Nghi through the beautiful valleys with rice terraces. Have lunch at a local house on the way. In the afternoon trek to Nam Hong where you will meet people from the Red Dao. Arrive at Nam Hong, check in Hoang Su Phi Lodge. In the evening you can attend a dance on fire which is a cultural and spiritual feature of the Red Daos. Overnight in Nam Hong.

Day 6: Nam Hong - Thong Nguyen - Hanoi

Breakfast at Hoang Su Phi Lodge before visiting the weekly market (if it is Sunday) then return to Hanoi or continue your tour to other destinations.
