Day 01: Siemreap arrival (D)

Arrive in Siem Reap by afternoon flight, Siem Reap – Treasures of the Kingdom of Cambodia, a welcome to everybody, a moment of courtesy meeting then self-introduce with our Cambodian tour guide in the meeting point’s Siem Reap airport. In the evening we are invited to visit the house of a local family. We sit down at the dinner table, listen to their stories and learn more about their everyday routine, beliefs and traditions. They teach us some basic Khmer phrases. After dinner we can visit the local night market, a colorful and vibrant dining and shopping experience in a modern Khmer environment.

Day 02: Siemreap exploration

In the early morning we can enjoy sunrise over Angkor Wat temple and listen to singing birds over the ancient land of Angkor area. We walk to nearby Pagoda and give food to monks. Spend your own time to talk to the monk and nuns to exchange the culture or relieve. We return to hotel for breakfast.

Banteay Srei: nearly everyone’s favorite site. The special charm of this temple lies in its compact size, remarkable state of preservation, and the excellence of it decorative carving

On the way back, we will stop at the Cambodian Landmine museum and Rehabilitation Center which promotes awareness and education for both tourists and Cambodian people. The museum displays a large collection of guns, rifles, rockets launchers, pistols, mortars, grenades, CS gas canisters, bombs, bullets and a 225kg bomb from a US warplane, all recovered from Cambodia countryside. Mr. Aki Ra, the founder of the museum, worked as a miner when he decided to exhibit his collection of shell casings and decommissioned mines in 1998. Today, the museum is operated also as a rescue center for a number of landmine amputee children that Aki Ra had brought off Phnom Penh’s streets or from extremely impoverished rural communities. In addition, the exhibition building – the museum includes a school and dormitories for amputee children and staff.

Banteay Samre: Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer.

We continue to visit the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers

Day 03: Siemreap exploration

We start on our bike and cycle (45 minutes for cycling) to world heritage areas on the quiet roads. Ride among the jungle passing local village and local shop. It’s a very special and acting day as you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by a mass of tourists.

The tour start with the visiting to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology, visit Bakheng Temple and enjoy a romantic sun set view form Bakheng hill. Enjoy foot massage in 1 hour & walking in busy pub street where you can find many bars for cool drink or shopping at Angkor Night Market.

Day 04: Siemreap – Responsible day

We will have a responsible day with visits to a local village. Your ideal travel is not only for leisure, but also help local people with sustainable incomes and gives them the real helpful aid. We will meet the friendly host family, study their life structure then help them to complete their daily tasks from simple thing of cleaning to the hard work with cultivation in rice field, rice sorting and rice husking. We head to the local school, where children are willing to practice English with you. We stop at a pagoda to see the interesting insight of Buddhism in Cambodia and with Khmer people.

We take a bull cart to go around the villages, rice field and lines of palm trees before boarding a boat in Tonlesap, the biggest fresh-water lake in South East Asia. Enjoy the bustling life of local people in floating villages with floating schools, floating restaurants, and even floating hospitals.

You will continue the tour to Puok District to visit the National Silk Center, a fascinating way to learn about Cambodian silk. Here we will spend some times and witness start-to-finish silk creation, growing and harvesting mulberry and the breeding process and the life cycle of the silk worm. A farewell dinner Khmer is served – Spectacle of dancing Apsara at local restaurant and stay overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 05: Siemreap – Phnompenh

In the morning, transfer to Siem Reap airport for short flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh airport, met and welcomed by our tour guide and then visit Tuol Sleng prison (Genocide Museum) which was the most secret organ of the Khmer Rouge regime. S-21 standing for “Security Office 21.” was Angkar’s premier security institution, specifically designed for the interrogation and extermination of anti Angkar elements.

Continue to visit Choeung Ek museum. Between 1975 and 1978, there were about 17,000 men, women, children and infants detained and tortured at S-21 prison and transported to the extermination camp of Choeung Ek. After visiting the prison, it is time to go shopping at Toul Tompong Market which is called Russian Market because of the prevalence of items from the Eastern Bloc in past times, the Russian Market today is a treasure trove for tourists, that you will feel a bustling daily life of local people with Cambodian’s special character through local specialties, their houses, their face. Next, visit Wat Phnom Daun Penh – the name of a pagoda, built by lady Daun Penh in 1372 on a little hill, Legend has it that after a particularly heavy flood, a wealthy Khmer woman named Daun Penh found a tree on the banks of the Mekong with four statues of Buddha hidden inside. Today Wat Phnom remains the highest artificial hill in Phnom Penh and the center of many forms of leisure activity.

Day 06 : Phnompenh exploration

The cyclo tour will give you a different perspective on the streets and sights of the city. We start at Wat Phnom, iconic symbol of Phnom Penh, before going over the National Library and Hotel Le Royal. We pass the train station before winding our way down to Psar Thmei, and the elegant riverfront. We pass the glittering Royal Palace Compound. Firstly, visit to the Royal Palace compound build in 1866 by the Predecessors of King Norodom. This is the most conspicuous feature and also one of impressive colorful Khmer-style Palaces. Nearside the Royal Palace is Silver Pagoda (The Emerald Buddha temple), display plenty of Buddha Statues that were decorated and made by diamond, emerald, gold and silver. Travelers will proceed to visit Independence Monument which was constructed in 1954 after Cambodian took their country back from French colony. Continue to visit National Museum, the distinctive red building with a beautiful Khmer architecture built in 1917 and it contains more than 5000 art objects made of sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood and others. We will enjoy a cruise for view sunset on the Mekong and Tonle Sap River (1 hour). Situated at the “Four Arms” where the Mekong meets the Tonle Sap River before splitting into tow branches, Phnom Penh offers the ideal location to discover the mighty Mekong. Board a nicely restored wooden boat for a day cruise, enjoy the unspoiled landscapes along each bank and visit the traditional villages with their old pagodas on the island.

Day 07: Phnompenh – Sihanoukville

After breakfast, You will meet our driver then drive straight down to Sihanouk Ville without guide. Check in hotel and it is the rest time. The lovely beaches of Sihanouk Ville are some of the most unspoiled in all of South East Asia although the fast growing of tourism. There are some 10 km of beach stretching the whole length of the town and dozens of small islands just a short boat ride away, which make for a perfect tropical getaway, with facilities for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving, This free day will provide you some great opportunities to soak up the sun and sea as much as you want by spending your time swimming or lazing on a beach.

Day 08 – 09: Sihanoukville

Today is at leisure to enjoy this beautiful seaside town. Take your own meals and stay overnight at hotel. The lovely beaches of Sihanouk Ville are some of the most unspoiled in all of South east Asia although the fast growing of tourism. There are some 10 km of beach stretching the whole length of the town and dozens of small islands just a short boat ride away, which make for a perfect tropical getaway, with facilities for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving, This free day will provide you some great opportunities to soak up the sun and sea as much as you want by spending your time swimming or lazing on a beach.  Stay overnight in Sihanouk Ville.

Day 10: Sihanoukville – Phnompenh – Departure

On this day, we have a half free day for relaxation. You can either stay or rent a boat to explore the nearby coastal islands or the Ream national park. The park is well known for the mangrove forest and the Eco-system. These optional activities are not included; however our guide will be on hand to advise you with valuable information. In the early afternoon we depart Sihanouk Ville for Phnom Penh without guide and traverse the spectacular rural landscape. Arrive in Phnom Penh, transfer to airport for departure to next destination.
