Welcome to Laos which is land of a million elephants and is famous for its green plateaus, plains, beauty and glamour. Laos culture is influenced by diverse range of politic and history. Laos is one of the most interesting countries, home to rare and unspoiled landscape in the world because of its colorful culture and religious histories. Therefore, the culture is the highlight of Laos. Other highlights are capital of Laos – Vientiane and the border town of Savannakhet. Certainly, Luang Prabang is the “must visit” town when you travel to Laos. The city used to be isolated in many years from the rest of the world and now is world’s heritage. Vang Vieng town which is located between Vientiane and Luang Prabang is now a famous place for visitors because of it peaceful nature. About 20km from Luang Prabang are the Pak Ou caves, recognized as Tham Ting and Tham Theung; these are limestone cliffs found on the banks of the Mekong River.  The caves have been visited by people for thousands of years, and were once used as a place of worship, now home to an army of Buddhas; it is obviously an imposing site to behold.

Day 01: Luang Prabang arrival
Welcome to Luang prabang. Upon arrival meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. It is free time to discover Luang Prabang. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Luang prabang.

Day 02: Luang Prabang – City Tour
After breakfast at hotel, discover Luang Prabang such as National Museum, the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai and  visit Wat Xieng Thong.  We then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Then, we explore Street Night Market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile of the local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang - Laos

Day 03:  Luang Prabang -Textile village – Elephant camp
Have breakfast at hotel, drive out of town to visit the elephant camp at Ban Ann, stopover at famous village named Ban Phom Nom, almost of those villagers are weavers. They used to be servants and made handicraft souvenirs for the last king of Laos. Another stop at Henrimouhot monument at Kang Noon, a French man, who founded Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, but he died at Kang Noon when he moved to Laos for his discovery as Mararia.  Then continue to visit the camp, arrive at the Elephant camp, your guide introduce about the elephants where they came from and how their daily living condition is. Then, take an elephant ride for one hour crossing Kharn River before returning to the town and you will be transferred to your hotel. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 04: Luang Prabang – Kuang Sii Waterfall
After breakfast at hotel, drive out of town about 30 km to the most beautiful waterfall Kuang Sii, where you can swim, relax, soft trek to the top of the fall. Have lunch next to the waterfall. Back to Luang Prabang with stop at Black Hmong Village, where hill tribe’s hand-made handicraft products as souvenirs are sold to visitors passing and discover their daily life. Arrive in the town at the end of the day. Transfer to your hotel and take your time to discover Luang Prabang. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in LuangPrabang.

Luang Prabang_Laos

Day 05: Luang prabang – Nong Khiau
After breakfast at hotel, drive a head to Nong Khiau about 3 hour away by car via beautiful landscapes and rural villages. Stop at junction between Pak Mong and Nong Khiau. Arrive in Nong Khiau; check in at your bungalow. Then, soft trekking through rice field to Pha Tork cave, where local hid inside during Indochina War. Return to Nong Khiau and take photo at Ou River. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Nong Khiau.

Day 06: Nong Khiau – Pak Ou Cave – Luang Prabang
After breakfast at hotel, we enjoy a cruise down stream on Ou River to the Mekong river, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the distillation of local rice wine and we can discover their daily life. Back to Luang Prabang and arrive in the town at the end of the day. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Luang Prabang.

Luang Nam Tha - Laos

Day 07: Luang Pranbang – Xieng Khuang – Phonsavanh
After breakfast at hotel, depart by car to Xieng Khuang, which was devastated by American bombing between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, visit the Plain of Jars, an impressive archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are littered all over the plateau. Have lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, we visit the the old capital of Muang Khoun province and the villages nearby, country of the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people. They are very friendly and have an interesting local culture and a colorful history. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Phonsavanh.

Day 08: Phonsavanh – Xieng Khuang – Vang Vieng
After breakfast at hotel, we drive ahead to Vang Vieng, about 6hours drive.  Vang Vieng was a key military airfield during the Indochina wars, the town’s center feature is the long-abandoned runway along the eastern side of town. On the west side, a small river separates the town from the near caves & mountains, which can easily be visited from the town. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the way. Upon arrival check in at your hotel, after a short rest, visit Organic Mulberry Farm and Jang cave, where the local hid inside during the Indochina War. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Vang Vieng.

Vang Vieng - Laos

Day 09: Vang Vieng – Soft Trekking – Kayaking – Tubing
After breakfast at hotel, we cross Song River and start soft trekking to Lao Loum village to see their daily life, You can see how different between city and remote areas. Have lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, we enjoy Kayaking about 3hours combine tubing  along Song river to see the stunning view of the town, visit Tham Hoy and Tham Sang, other enjoy tubing around one hour. Back to your hotel for free and relaxing. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Vang Vieng.

Day 10: Vang Vieng – Market – Vientiane
Have breakfast at hotel, depart to Vientiane about 3 hours drive via beautiful landscapes and villages. On the way, we have a short stop at Hmong market at km 52 for visiting and for taking pictures. Upon arrival in Vientiane, check in hotel. Have Lunch at local restaurant. Then, visit Textile village at Ban Nongbuathong before being transferred to your hotel. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Vientiane.

Vientiane Laos

Day 11: Vientiane – City tours
After a breakfast at hotel, we start visiting the major sights of the capital including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo formerly held the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Have lunch at local restaurant. Visit the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa; we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own of Triumph. Have your own dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Vientiane.
