Overview

With this Vietnam Itinerary 10 days, you will visit some of the most iconic places in Hanoi, such as Hoan Kiem Lake or the Temple of Literature, while travelling by rickshaw around the nearby Old Quarters. Besides, enjoying the sea environment by staying overnight on a junk in Ha Long Bay  one of the seven natural wonders of the world and experiencing night squid fishing are some of the most interesting activities of the night trip. After transferring to the Central Vietnam, the ancient architectures like Japanese Bridge, Chinese Hall and traditional trading villages in Hoi An or the peaceful Thien Mu pagoda, the monumental Minh Mang Tombs in Hue will be some of the most quintessential highlights of Vietnam that you will visit. Then, take your time to travel all the way to the renowned Cai Rang floating market in Mekong Delta, where you will see people rowing boats with full of goods and a lively trading scene during its time. After that, visit the local gardens and taste the Coconut Milk or fresh tropical fruits. You can also visit a local bee-raising farm, or coconut-candy enterprises for souvenirs.

Program details

Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed and met by our tour guide before transferring to hotel for a check-in. Later, enjoy a welcome dinner at local restaurant, then stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)
Start your day tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, traditional stilt houses, the ancient One-Pillar Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple, while strolling along the shore of the West Lake to visit Tran Quoc pagoda. Have lunch at a local restaurant with Hanoi's traditional dishes. After that, you can visit some of the most famous locations in Hanoi, such as Vietnam’s first university
 the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature. the  iconic Hoan Kiem Lake with Ngoc Son Temple, then experience the nearby Old Quarters of Hanoi by rickshaw to explore the heart of Hanoi's culture. In the evening, participate in the traditional art of Vietnam named water puppet show (Rối-Nước), then have your own dinner and stay overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B,L,D)
Enjoy breakfast before departing for Halong Bay. Along the way, you can see many vast rice fields of Vietnam's rural areas.
12h00 – 12h30: Get on the boat. A quick cruising brief will be followed by.
13h00 – 15h30: Savor a delicious lunch while cruising among the limestone islands.
15h30 – 16h30: Experience Kayak among the hidden parts of the bay, which located around the Bo Nau Cave area. Ater that, return to the boat.
16h30 – 17h30: Cruise to Soi Sim Island. You can enjoy swimming and relaxing on the beach of Soi Sim or climb up to the top of the island for a panoramic view of Halong Bay.
17h30: Cruise back to the main boat for a shower. Relax or take photos as the sunsets.
19h00: Enjoy your dinner as you meet and greet with other guests. You can either fish for squid, or just get on the deck to enjoy the gentle and refreshing night breezes. Stay overnight on the junk.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Da Nang – Hoian (B,L)
06h30 – 07h00: Wake up early to start your day with Tai Chi exercises or a photo hunting game.
07h30 – 08h30: Enjoy breakfast.
08h30 – 09h30: Discover the amazing cave of Sung Sot – the nicest cave in Halong Bay.
09h30: Return to the boat. Freshen up before checking out your cabin.
09h30 – 10h30: Continue your cruise to explore the Bay, passing Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, and more.
10h30 – 11h30: On the way back to the harbor, spend sometimes to watch the cooking demonstration before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
12h00 – 12h30: Disembark the boat, you will be picked up and transferred directly to Noi Bai airport for the flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival in Da Nang, meet our local guide and transfer to hotel in the central area of Hoi An. Have your own dinner and stay overnight in Hoi An

Day 5: Hoian Walking Tour – Boat Trip (B,L)
Enjoy your breakfast and then discover the old town which was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1999. Hoian used to be an active trading port with Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese and Chinese businessmen during the 17th and 18th centuries. Later, have lunch at a local restaurant before going on a trip to the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese temple, Chinese Hall, Hoi An market and Tan Ky ancient house. At the end of the trip, take a local sampan boat along Thu Bon river to visit Thanh Ha Pottery Village. Finish your discovery in late afternoon and return to hotel, then have your own dinner and stay overnight in Hoi An.

Day 6: Hoian Farming and Fishing day (B,L)
You will have another unforgettable day to discover the ancient architectures of Hoian and experience a normal day with the local people. In the morning, cycle about an hour to travel to nearby countryside area. There you will visit Tra Que herb village which is very well-known for supplying Hoian its organic herbs. Also you will have the chance to interact with local farmers, while learning about different kind of herbs and how to plant them. After this visit, continue your trip to Cam Thanh village in Bay Mau water palm forest. Here you can take a short walk around the fishing village before going on a Coracle – a typical rounded bamboo boat of the village to experience a few rounds through small canals. After that, get back to the hotel, have your own dinner and stay overnight in Hoian.

Day 7: Hoi An – Danang – Hue (B,L)
Enjoy breakfast at hotel and then head off to Hue through the well-known and stunning 1A Highway. While transferring, you may stop at the top of Hai-Van Pass for a panoramic view over Danang and its surrounding areas or take some pictures at Lang Co Beach. Have lunch at local restaurant. Next, visit Thien Mu pagoda, Minh Mang Tombs, Hue Imperial City and Tu Duc tombs (built between 1864-1867 by three thousands soldiers and workers) where Vietnamese culture, history and architecture are all demonstrated through these historical monuments. Later, take your free time to visit Dong Ba market for souvenirs or goods, then have your own dinner and stay overnight in Hue.

Day 8: Hue – Fly to Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)
Have breakfast in Hue and then depart for Hue Airport for a flight departure to Ho Chi Minh City – the biggest and the most dynamic metropolis in Vietnam, which was named the honorable "Pearl of the Far East" nickname during the 50s and 60s decade of the past century. Begin your tour of this exciting city with a tour of the historic center, strolling along Dong Khoi St, formerly known as the Rue Catinat, the main shopping thoroughfare and heart of old colonial Saigon.

Pass by classic European-style landmarks such the old Opera House (may only be viewed from the outside), visit to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.

Afterwards dive into modern history with a tour of the Reunification Palace. Formerly the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, this 60s style was famously stormed by tanks on April 30, 1975 signifying the fall of South Vietnam. It has been preserved in its original state, and the original tanks remain on display near the entrance gates. Transfer to hotel for check-in and overnight in Saigon.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta Day Trip (B, L)
Have breakfast at the hotel and then depart by rowboat, cycling or walking for a bonsai garden. The rowboat then will cruise to an ancient house with the traditional colonial style. There you will discover the models of Vietnam's wet rice cultivation, along with the agricultural tools. Later, visit Cai Be floating market and take part in some handicraft workshops… Next, travel to My Tho City in Tien Giang Province, one of the 11 provinces surrounding the Mekong Delta. Upon arrival at 11AM, you will take a boat trip on Mekong River to visit a local farmer’s house and garden, then have lunch on Phoenix Island. During the afternoon, you can visit local bee-raising farms or coconut-candy enterprises. After that, get back to My Tho City and return Ho Chi Minh City on a coach. On the way back, you will stop at Long An Town to visit a Cao Dai Temple, a local religion in the South of Vietnam. Have dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Saigon.

Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
After having breakfast at hotel, feel free to take your time to discover Saigon until being transferred to the airport for the departure flight.
