HOW TO GET TO NINH BINH

By bus: traveling by bus is the most convenient when it is only 100km from Hanoi. There are many types of bus and bus companies. If you are interested in smaller and luxury transports, you can take Limo car which has only 8-10 seats.

By train: you can take either SE7 (6.16am) or SE5 (09.00am). Traveling by train is cheap and safe, but you will not have many time options.

By motorbike: it is around 3 hours when driving a motorbike. Just remember to bring all necessary things for your driving such as, driving license, motorbike registration…

Hoa Lu ancient capital

The ancient capital is the special national relic and is one of the 4th core of Trang An landscape complex. Hoa Lu ancient capital is keeping many important historical relics over different dynasties in 1000 years.

Tam Coc – Dich Dong (Jade cave)

Located 7km from Ninh Binh to the South, Tam Coc – Bich Dong is a famous destination in Ninh Binh which is recognized as “Halong Bay on land”. There are numerous karts mountains located next to the river forming a breathtaking scenery. In Tam Coc – Bich Dong, you will experience the boat rowing along Ngo Dong river lightening up by sunshine over the mountain cliffs, exploring mysterious caves or enjoying the beauty of blooming rice fields…all of which make the area more impressive.

Trang An

is recognized as the world natural heritage and culture by UNESCO, Trang An offers a wonderful landscape made from river flowing through karst mountain ranges and mysterious caves. Similar to Tam Coc – Bich Dong, you will have chance to ride a sampan through mountains to enjoy the fabulous scenery and explore caves including: Dark cave, bright cave, wine making cave…

Mua cave

Located at the foot of Mua mountain in Ninh Xuan commune. This area is built according to the model of the Great Wall with 500 steps to the top. This area is an ideal one during the rice blossom because at the top of Mua, you will have an amazing panoramic view of mountains, rivers and blossomed rice fields.

Van Long nature reserve

Located in Gia Vien district, Van Long is considered as the largest wet nature reserve in the Red river delta. Sitting on the boat to discover the area, you will have chance to see the rare and endangered animals especially, langurs which are listed in the world red book.

Thung Nham bird park

Located in the Ninh Hai commune, Thung Nham bird park is the home to hundreds of bird species with over 50,000 birds. From the boat, you can find the pristine features that cannot be found where else.
 

WHAT TO EAT

Com Chay (burned rice)

Com chay is one of the most popular specialties of Ninh Binh. The rice is made in the different way with other places from frying to sauce. The delicious com chay has a flight yellow, crisp, savory but not much greasy.
