Phnompenh – Takeo – Kampot – Bokor National Park – Koh Tonsay - Rabbit Island – Ream National Park – Sihanoukville – Phnompenh – Departure (B)
Recognized as "the land of temples"; not only Cambodia offers the beautiful landscape with stunning beaches, wild jungles but also mysterious temples. Lets discover this land and enjoy great promotion of Vietnam Original Travel with the Cambodia Beach Holiday 7 days program.
Day 01: Phnompenh – Takeo – Kampot
After breakfast at hotel, we will depart for the south to explore Tonle Bati where you can visit the little picturesque Angkorian temple of Ta Prohm. On the banks of the nearby river, there is a bamboo-made shack line with hammocks, a great place for a relax. We then get on the bus to the quiet town of Takeo before boarding a cruise to Angkor Borei town which is situated just a few kilometers from the Vietnam border. Stop to visit a small museum which shows several reproductions of sculptures from the ruins nearby and few artifacts dating back to the 4th century. After visiting this wonderful place, our boat continues to a pre-Angkorian style temple of Phnom Da and a near temple of Asram Maharosei which looks different from other temples in Cambodia due to steep path over big rocks.
Next, continue to the south following the picturesque drive to Kampot which is the southern coast of Cambodia bordering with Vietnam and was once served as a splendid seaside resort for the French in the early 1900s. Overnight at hotel in Kampot.
Day 02: Kampot – Bokor National Park – Kampot
Today, you will visit Bokor National Park where you will drive up 35 km winding road crossing lush jungle landscape to the cooler summit hill station. The Bokor Hill Station was initially constructed as a playground for the colonial and Khmer elite in the early 20th century with cooler climate and lush scenery provided a welcome relief from the lowland heat. Nevertheless, for many locals, Bokor’s fortunes changed with the rise of the Khmer Rouge. The region saw a fierce fighting and today many buildings are pock-marked and shattered from heavy machine gun and rocket fire. Stop on the way back to visit fruit farms such as: Durian, mangosteen, rambutan, pineapple, grapefruit, custard apple and coconut farms. It is also considered as the heart of the pepper culture in Cambodia. Kampot’s Chamkar Mrich or pepper farms are very well-known for producing one of the world’s finest peppers. Overnight at hotel in Kampot.
Day 03: Kampot – Koh Tonsay
After breakfast at hotel, take a tour to Kep Sur Me which was the seaside resort for Cambodian and French elite on a small cape with a 6km palm-fringed road extending along the coastline. The resort was constructed as a retreat for the French elite in 1908. We then have a stop at Phnom Chnorkk Caves – Pre-Angkorian ruin set in a limestone grotto among stalagmites and stalactites that are slowly growing back into the ruin. Some carvings are still visible. We can see the limestone formations near the grotto's entrance in the shapes of elephants. We next get on a boat for the journey to the lovely and separate Koh Tonsay (Rabbit) Islan) which is a natural resort situated 4.5km to the southeast of Kep City. There are two white sand beaches and shallow water making an excellent place for swimming. Enjoy swimming, sunbathing or walking around the island. Overnight on the island.
Day 04: Rabbit Island – Ream National Park – Sihanoukville
After breakfast, say goodbye to Koh Tonsay. Transfer to Sihanoukville, stop on the way to visit (or go past) Crab Market and Salt Farm (Salt fields can be only found in Kampot). We later travel by roads along the southern coast to Sihanoukville, which is great place of relaxation for the locals. Stop at Ream National Park to enjoy a pleasant day away from the crowds in Ream National Park, just 30 minutes away from Sihanoukville. Upon arrival, take a boat trip through the impressive mangrove forest and to a beautiful stretch of tropical sand beach in the park area. Have a short stop for relax and enjoy the natural beauty of this area, before departing for Sihanoukville. Stay overnight in Sihanoukville.
Day 05 – 06: Sihanoukville
Take your free time to enjoy Sihanoukville beach which is the most beautiful beach in Cambodia. Roam along the sandy beach or just sun-bathing without transfer, guide and meals. Overnight at hotel in Sihanoukville
Day 07: Sihanoukville – Phnompenh – Departure
Enjoy your last day at this wonderful land before transfering to Phnom Penh. You can either stay at hotel or on beach or rent a boat to discover the nearby coastal islands or the Ream national park. The park is renown for its mangrove forest and the Eco-system. In the early afternoon, we will leave Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh. Arrive in Phnom Penh, transfer directly to airport for departure to next destination.
