8:00 Pick up at hotel then drive to a local village. Upon arrival, a motor-boat takes you to the green canals, piercing the rows of coconut water trees to the island - the peaceful place, peaceful scenery of the river… Visit the traditional production facilities of the local people and learn how to make handicrafts such as coconut candy workshop, pop-rice, the process of making rice paper and try snake wine. Take a short rest at a cool fruit garden to try fruit platter while enjoying the Southern folk song - a traditional folk art form of the Mekong people. Experience hand-rowing sampan to see local life and a local lunch with 5 courses is served at the beautiful riverside restaurant on the island.
Drive to Can Tho - the capital city of Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, check in to a rustic homestay and an overnight stay to enjoy a peaceful time in the authentic village.
Day 2: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Saigon
7:00 Get up early and have breakfast at homestay. Taking a motor-boat along the river to Cai Rang floating market - a scene of a morning market with hundreds of sampans with full of rice, fruits and handicraft products that they exchange on the river.
We continue the cruise then walk through the villages to discover the daily life of people living on the island. Explore the local a flea market, a noodle factory, and tropical fruit gardens like papaya, mango, pineapple,… Cycling around the village, meet the locals to get deeper understanding and touch local life in the watery area. Enjoy your Vietnamese dishes at a local restaurant. Back to Saigon and tour ends.
