Day 01: Hanoi Arrival – Free at Leisure (-/-/-)
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcomed by your driver and transferred to your hotel in the center of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Known for its unique blend of modern life and historic charm, Hanoi offers a graceful atmosphere with tree-lined streets, lakes, and colonial architecture. Arrive at hotel, check in and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 02: City Tour – Water Puppet Show – Lao Cai (B/-/-) – By Train
Breakfast at hotel. Then visit Ba Dinh Square to see Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and National Assembly Building of Vietnam, Presidential Palace (outside). Later, have a stroll along the West Lake to visit Tran Quoc pagoda which is the oldest pagoda in the city.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon, visit Van Mieu (Temple of Literature), which dates back to 1070 and is dedicated to the cult of Confucius. Next, stop at the train street hidden among the busy streets of Hanoi Old Quarter lies an exclusive street offering an incredibly surreal experience. Continue into the Old Quarter, where your walk begins through a maze of crisscrossing streets. Here, you’ll experience Hanoi life at its most authentic—vibrant trading scenes spilling onto the sidewalks, colorful wet markets buzzing with activity, and tucked-away corners where locals linger for hours over rich coffee and unhurried conversation. Then participate in the water puppet show which is the traditional art of Vietnam remaining hundred years.
After that, drive to Hanoi railway station for overnight train to Sapa
Day 03: Lao Cai – Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B/L/-)
Arrive in Lao Cai and meet your guide before heading to town for breakfast, then travel to Muong Hoa Valley. Enjoy panoramic views before trekking along small trails through terraced rice fields to Y Linh Ho, home of the Black Hmong. Walk along the river to Lao Chai village to learn about their culture, houses, clothing, and traditions. Continue to Ta Van village, home of the Giay people, where you’ll visit a family, enjoy green tea, and discover cultural differences among hill tribes. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 04: Sapa – Free at Leisure – Hanoi (B/-/-) – By Overnight Train
Enjoy your free time in Sapa by exploring this beautiful mountain town on your own way until being transferred to Lao Cai railway station for overnight train back to Hanoi (shared 4 soft berth cabin).
Day 05: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Boat Ride – Jade Cave – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Arrive in Hanoi around 05.30, walk to the nearby hotel for your breakfast and showering. Then depart for Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Vietnam’s capital in the 10th century. Visit the temples of the Dinh and Le dynasties, known for their distinctive architecture, and learn about ancient culture through remains of old royal palace grounds.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Tam Coc. Take a sampan boat ride along the river, passing villages, rice fields, and limestone mountains. Drift through three natural caves—Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba—for a memorable experience.
Afterward, visit Jade Cave, a peaceful grotto set within limestone cliffs, known for its cool chambers and clear pools. Afterwards, drive back to hotel in Hanoi
Day 06: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on Cruise (B/L/D)

Disembark between 10:30–11:00 AM and transfer to Hanoi for luggage pick-up, followed by a private transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang. Day 10: Imperial Citadel – Khai Dinh Mausoleum – Saigon (B/L/-) – By Flight
After breakfast, explore Hue with a visit to the Imperial Citadel, home of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945). See the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, and the Forbidden Purple City. Continue to the impressive Khai Dinh Mausoleum, known for its unique and intricate design. Visit a traditional incense-making village filled with fragrant aromas and colorful drying incense sticks. Conclude the tour at Tu Hieu Pagoda, a peaceful ancient pagoda with deep Buddhist significance. Then head out the airport for the departure flight to Saigon. After breakfast, enjoy a stroll along Dong Khoi Street, formerly Rue Catinat, the main shopping avenue and heart of colonial Saigon. Pass European-style landmarks including the old Opera House (outside view), Notre Dame Cathedral, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, and the Central Post Office. Continue to the War Remnants Museum, formerly the Museum of American War Crimes, displaying powerful wartime artifacts and documents. Later, head to Chinatown to visit the 200-year-old Thien Hau Temple, rich in history and culture. End the day at bustling Ben Thanh Market, the city’s largest wholesale market. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 12: Saigon – Mekong Delta – Ben Tre – Tra Vinh (B/L/D)
Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta, passing scenic rice fields along the way. Upon arrival, take a boat trip along the river to observe local life. Visit traditional workshops to see brick making, salt production, and coconut processing, then cruise through Cai Son and Nhon Thanh creeks to see families weaving mats.
Enjoy a short ride by motor cart through rice fields and villages, followed by a peaceful rowing boat trip along palm-lined canals. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue to Tra Vinh, known for its Khmer culture. Upon arrival, check in at Tra Vinh Lodge, set among lush gardens and canals. Explore the area by bicycle or on foot, then join a cooking class to prepare Bánh Xèo, a local specialty. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 13: Tra Vinh – Khmer Pagoda – Can Tho – Binh Thuy Ancient House (B/L/-)
