Day 01: Hanoi arrival - Free leisure
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, be warmly welcomed and picked up by our guide and then transferred to hotel in the centre for check-in. Take your first-hand exploration of city. And an overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
Day 02: Hanoi city tour
Breakfast at the hotel. Start your walking tour by visiting the iconic Hoan Kiem Lake, Turtle Island and Ngoc Son Temple. Then, experience the nearby Old Quarters of Hanoi to explore the heart of Hanoi's culture: Hanoi’s Opera House, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Bach Ma Temple, 36 Streets in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, Quan Su Pagoda, Long Bien Brigde.
Enjoy your lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Vietnamese Women's Museum - a community repository of the history of Vietnamese women throughout 54 ethnic community groups.
In the evening, participate in the traditional art of Vietnam named water puppet show, then have your own dinner and stay overnight in Ha Noi.
Day 03: Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hanoi
After breakfast at the hotel, depart to Ninh Binh - one of the most famous sites of Vietnam for its remains and its impressive limestone peaks. Then, enjoy your bike ride to visit Thai Vi Temple - built by King Tran Thai Tong in 1258 after his victory of the invading Chinese forces. The temple has gained popularity due to its cultural value but also because of the stone carving art of Ninh Binh’s sculptors. Next, hike to Mua Cave, where offers a beautiful panoramic view of Tam Coc and its surroundings.
In the afternoon, a beautiful sampan ride to discover Tam Coc caves "three caves", listed in the list of world heritage of UNESCO in 2014. Then, return to Hanoi at the end of the day and overnight in the hotel.
Day 04: Hanoi - Phu Tho - Nghia Lo
Depart to Yen Bai after having breakfast, passing green countryside: rice fields, fields and tea hills... Then stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Heading to Nghia Lo, through a beautiful mountain road and fabulous scenery.
Upon arrival at Nghia An Village, check-in on a large stilt house for some tea and take a walk around the village to discovery the local life and daily activities of the white Thai ethnic. Enjoy your dinner and overnight in Nghia Lo.
Day 05: Nghia Lo - Mu Cang Chai
Have breakfast before leaving to Mu Cang Chai. Pass the magnificent landscapes, ethnic villages and beautiful mountains. Stop over at Khau Pha Pass, get in touch with the friendly minority ethnic groups by visiting the villages and the landscapes along the road.
Arrive at Mu Cang Chai - one of the best places in Vietnam to take on the roads. Checking in and explore Kim Noi Villages, learn about the locals life in this mountain and overlooking to a vast field where locals grow rice, corn, vegetables and sweet potatoes. Enjoy your dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 06: Mu Cang Chai - Than Uyen - Binh Lu - Y Ty
Heading to Sapa in the morning after breakfast. Pass Than Uyen and Bich Lu which are the most beautiful mountain provinces of Vietnam. You will be stop at a several place to admire rice fields, green tea hills and multiple ethnic minorities village of Tays, Red Hmong, Daos, Lu ...
Continue your journey to Y Ty by crossing the most sumptuous mountain ranges of the North which known for its highest peak Fanxipan (3.143m). You will also pass Tram Ton Pass - the highest pass in the North. You will be arriving at Y Ty in the afternoon. Check-in at Y Ty Logde. Have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 07: Y Ty - Choan Thien - Ngai Thau
Enjoy your breakfast and start trekking to Choan Thien Village and Ngai Thau Village. You will be trekking through non-touristic valleys for the breathtaking scenery, admire moutains, rice terraces, ethnic villages and Ha Nhi Houses. This is an opportunity to catch beautiful smiles of Ha Nhi people, meeting White Hmong ethnic people. And finally enjoy the moment having at the white Hmong homestay.
In the afternoon, take a walk to discover the life and daily activities of multiple ethnic minorities of villages around Y Ty.
Back to Y Ty Logde for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 08: Muong Hum market - Bac Ha
After an early breakfast, visit Muong Hum Market – a huge market and the Flower Hmong are colorful in their dresses. You will meet the different ethnic minorities: flowering H'mongs, Tays, Nungs, Phu La ... Then head to Bac Ha, passing the mountain road and with fabulous landscapes.
Upon arrival in Bac Ha, check into the hotel. Then, hike to the villages around Bac Ha: flowering H'mongs, Tays, Phu La ... Back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 09: Bac Ha - Xin Mat - Quang Uyen
Breakfast at your hotel then depart to Quang Nguyen through Xin Man Village and fabulous scenery. Continue your road trip to Quang Nguyen in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains and forests. Arrive Quang Nguyen for check-in at the Tays homestay and have lunch.
In the afternoon, hiking in the surrounding ethnic villages to discover the daily life of Tays and Red Daos. Dinner will be served at homestay and enjoy your overnight stay in Quang Nguyen.
Day 10: Quang Uyen - Ba Be national lake - Discovery
Having breakfast, then start to explore Ba Be - the next destination. Crossing the green tea hills, ethnic villages along Lo River and Cau River. Upon arrival, check in a large stilt house and have lunch with the family.
Afternoon, take a walk to Ba Be Lake to check out all the hidden corners of the lake, cruise from Nang River to Puong Cave which dug into the limestone cliff and discover Dau Dang Waterfall. Continue on boat to the forests where shelter many birds and wild animals. Enjoy swimming at this peaceful place. Back to the homestay for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Ba Be - Cao Bang - Ban Gioc falls - Trung Khanh
Have breakfast before saying goodbye to the local family. Then, depart to Quang Hoa through the magnificent forests and ethnic villages. Stop at Phja Thap Incense Village and Phuc Sen Blacksmith Village. Then, have lunch at a local restaurant. Continue your trip to Trung Khanh, a border town with China crossing the limestone rocks in the shape of sugar loaf, Tays Village and Nungs Village to the most beautiful falls in Vietnam – Ban Gioc Falls. Your dinner at a local family and stay 1 night.
Day 12: Trung Khanh - Cao Bang - Lang Son
After breakfast, depart to Lang Son, passing the fabulous landscapes along the National Road No 4, colonial road built by the French. Visit the historical battle Dong Khe and That Khe. Then, personally discover of the northern city of Lang Son. Your lunch will be served at a local restaurant before continue the National Road No.4 to Lang Son. Upon arrival, check in at a hotel and personally discover the border town of China. Have dinner and enjoy an overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Lang Son - Bai Tu Long - Overnight on junk
After breakfast, depart to Ha Long via Hai Duong for your 2 days cruise in Bai Tu Long Bay. You will be arriving Ha Long at noon. Then, board to a beautiful traditional wooden junk, taking the cabin and have lunch during the cruise through the karst rocks and floating villages of fishermen. Visit Vung Vieng floating fishing village by boat to discover their typical lifestyle and then enjoy swimming, kayaking and other water activities. Back to junk, enjoy the sunset of the bridge. Dinner and an overnight stay on junk.
Day 14: Bai Tu Long Bay - Halong - Dong Trieu ceramic village - Departure
Wake up early for a morning bath, sunrise, breakfast on board if you wish. Then, cruise to the most beautiful and calm recesses hidden in Ha Long Bay. Brunch on board before return to the pier. Heading towards Hanoi through Dong Trieu Village where you can see the steps of the factory of pottery, ceramics and earthenware, you can even put your hand in the dough. Finally transfer to the airport via new road which crosses large rice paddies and tour ends.
